Emily Madrzykowski ‘23 is an English/comparative literature double major with a double minor in business administration and African American studies from Charlotte, North Carolina. Her professional interests include combining her business interests with her passion for social justice and academia. Ultimately, she hopes to begin her career abroad for international experience prior to pursuing an MBA. Emily decided to become a Kenan Scholar because she knew that joining the program would provide an opportunity to make a difference within her community and kick-start her professional goals.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Emily is an admissions ambassador through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions; a member of the Kenan-Flagler Student Leadership Committee; and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, serving within its Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Emily’s hobbies include cooking, enjoying music and supporting UNC athletics (especially field hockey).
