Accelerating Trends in Food Retail

Food retail is facing massive challenges at the hands of the COVID-19 crisis and the response has led to an acceleration in the shift to go digital. Grocers are leaning strongly into online sales and producers are using new technology to become more nimble when it comes to whom they supply and how they get to market.
Two of our Kenan-Flagler Marketing Faculty members joined industry experts from Kroger and FMI, the Food Industry Association, to discuss the development of new online platforms and delivery options, the management of supplier relationships, evolving customer demand and expectations and changing personnel needs and safety.
