This two-day workshop merges two innovative new initiatives at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. The Elder Care Innovation Hub brings researchers, policy makers and business people together to prepare for the business, economic, medical and social challenges posed by the aging Baby Boomer generation. The Business of Health Care Initiative seeks to leverage resources across the university and across academic disciplines to encourage collaborative research into the multi-faceted challenges facing healthcare.
This workshop will combine presentations of cutting-edge research, overviews of data and resources at UNC and networking sessions to plant the seeds for new collaborative research on the issues of aging. Thematically this workshop will focus on the economics of aging and how we can build collaborative interdisciplinary research from the progress made by heath economists in this area.
