Background

I graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens with a degree in Journalism and a concentration in Magazines. Upon graduation, I joined Conde Nast Publications at Allure Magazine for more than three years before leaving to travel extensively in Southeast Asia. These travels piqued my interest in developing countries, which led me to accept a six-month volunteer position with an NGO in Sierra Leone, West Africa. I then transitioned to a role as Commercial Director at Limeline Sierra Leone Ltd., an Internet Service Provider in Freetown, for several years before coming to pursue my MBA at Kenan-Flagler.

Career Pursuits

My long-term goal is to be a driver in spurring economic development in post-conflict and developing countries through private-sector development. My hope is to gain relevant experience in strategy, operations, and supply chain management as a consultant immediately following graduation.

Interests and Hobbies

Depending on the time of year, I’m either trying to find the nearest place to go scuba diving, or I’m watching the Bulldogs play football. I love to travel, and hope to visit South America by 2010, at which point Antarctica will be the only continent I haven’t visited.
