Background

I earned my undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Journalism, from Washington and Lee University where I also studied politics, psychology, and art. After graduation I worked as a reporter for the energy market publication Oil Daily in Washington, DC before transitioning to strategy/business consulting. As a consultant I worked with the Small Business Administration, the Army CIO/G-6, and Department of Homeland Security, where I spent two years focused on immigration issues before enrolling at Kenan-Flagler Business School

Career Path

After graduating from KFBS I intend to continue my career in business consulting and overtime explore opportunities in international development. My summer internship is with Deloitte Consulting in Atlanta, GA. I will be going on exchange to Santiago, Chile in January-February 2009 to explore business and cultural issues abroad. As a Kenan Institute liaison I hope to broaden my understanding of international business and initiatives operating in an global context.

Interests and Hobbies

In my free time I enjoy painting, reading, and travel, as well as a range of sports, including volleyball, Powder Puff football and running. I also volunteer with the non-profit consulting alliance COMPASS and Habitat for Humanity.
