Dean’s Speaker Series at The Carolina Inn: Michelle Peluso

Join us for a fireside chat with Michelle Peluso, CEO of Revlon, moderated by UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Dean Mary Margaret Frank.

This exclusive talk is offered through the Dean’s Speaker Series, hosted by the Kenan Institute in partnership with UNC Kenan-Flagler, and is part of the 2025 Frontiers of Business Conference.

The event will take place from 4:15 5:00 PM EDT on Thursday, October 9, at The Carolina Inn, followed by a reception until 6 PM.

Peluso will share lessons in resilience and leadership from her remarkable career journey, as one of only two women to serve as CEO of the legendary beauty brand. Hear how she’s navigated challenges across industries while shaping iconic organizations for lasting impact. This conversation offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from a trailblazing executive about the strategies and challenges of bridging both the skills gap and the gender gap to build a more innovative, inclusive and future-ready workforce.

As CEO and a member of the board of directors at Revlon, Peluso is leading a transformation of the company, driving consumer centricity and leveraging digital innovation to strengthen its iconic brands. She previously held senior leadership roles at CVS Health, IBM and Citigroup, and also served as CEO of Gilt Groupe and Travelocity. Earlier in her career, she founded Site59, an online travel company acquired by Travelocity, and began at Boston Consulting Group.

Peluso earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and an M.A. in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University as a Thouron Scholar. A White House Fellow, she also serves on Nike’s board.

Admission to this session of Frontiers is complimentary, but attendance for the full conference requires paid registration. Details and registration for the full conference can be found here. For those already registered for the conference, no additional action is required to attend the fireside chat.
