CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Nov. 1, 2023) – An advance estimate shows the U.S. economy growing nearly 5% during the third quarter, but how is this affecting household finances and the outlook for long-term consumer spending?
Research Director Camelia Kuhnen will share her thoughts on what the GDP estimate means – and doesn’t mean – during the Kenan Institute’s monthly virtual press briefing at 9 a.m. EDT this Friday, Nov. 3. She will also discuss the latest employment report, consumer confidence and how North Carolina is faring, as well as take questions from attendees.
Experts from the institute will appear on the briefing each month and offer commentary in their areas of specialization. Briefings occur on the morning that the employment report is released, usually the first Friday of each month.
