Entrepreneurship as a Movement: Keynote Session

Join us for “Entrepreneurship as a Movement,”, a compelling keynote session by Chloe Hakim-Moore, an internationally acclaimed entrepreneur, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and TEDx speaker. The keynote will be moderated by LaChaun Banks, professor of the practice of strategy and entrepreneurship.

The hourlong event will take place at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, in the Kenan Center Dining Room on the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School campus, with a reception to follow.

Entrepreneurship has the power to reshape our socioeconomic landscape and redefine pathways to success, something Hakim-Moore knows firsthand. She will share her personal journey into ethical entrepreneurship, exploring how building with intention can serve as a powerful tool for addressing today’s most pressing challenges.

Hakim-Moore is a globally recognized leader in entrepreneurship, social impact and business innovation. She has led over $2 billion in public and private investments for small businesses, built two eight-figure nonprofits and coached hundreds of entrepreneurs. A powerful advocate for marginalized communities, she has influenced global policies on well-being and social equity. Forbes named her to its 30 Under 30 list in 2020, calling her “a key revolutionary changing the course – and the face – of business and society.”

Admission to the talk and reception is free, but registration is required.

This keynote is part of the Conference on Market-Based Solutions for Reducing Wealth Inequality, hosted by the Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise, which requires paid registration. Details and registration for the full conference can be found here. If you are already registered for the conference, no additional action is required to attend this session.
