CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Dec. 5, 2023) – Recent inflation reports have provided some good news for the Federal Reserve, whose efforts to keep the economy from overheating by raising interest rates seem to be working.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School finance professor and former Kenan Institute executive director Greg Brown will share his thoughts on where inflation may be headed from here during the institute’s monthly virtual economic briefing at 9 a.m. EST Friday, Dec. 8. He’ll also discuss the latest employment report and take questions from attendees.

Experts from the institute will appear on the briefing each month and offer commentary in their areas of specialization. Briefings occur on the morning the employment report is released, usually the first Friday of each month.

You’re invited to join via Zoom (registration details below) and welcome to submit any questions you would like to be addressed to External Affairs Associate Rob Knapp.
