Kenan Scholars Honor Graduating Seniors at Senior Sendoff

The Kenan Scholars program gathered virtually on Thursday, May 7 to honor its graduating seniors during the Senior Sendoff. This event provided the Kenan Scholars Class of 2020 the opportunity to reflect on their experiences, acknowledge fellow scholars and Kenan Institute staff who have made a positive impact, and be congratulated by students, faculty and staff for their achievements.

Graduating scholars were joined by their peers as well as professional staff from the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, who praised the seniors for their contributions and their commitment to being future business leaders who will change the world. Graduating seniors were also awarded “senior superlatives” based on nominations from the Kenan Scholar community. Superlatives included “most likely to come up with a million dollar idea,” “most likely to run a Fortune 500 company” and “most likely to become a professor at Kenan-Flagler.” The Senior Sendoff was a perfect conclusion to the successful undergraduate academic careers of the Class of 2020 Kenan Scholars.

Following graduation, these students will begin their professional careers representing a variety of companies across the United States, including Aetna, Capital One, Credera, EY and Wells Fargo. Employment areas of emphasis range from private finance to corporate banking to strategy consulting. This is an incredibly talented group of individuals, and the Kenan Scholars program, as well as the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, look forward to being a part of their future success!

Congratulations to the Class of 2020 Kenan Scholars:
