Greetings from your friends and family at The Kenan Institute! I hope you and your family are safe and well during these uncertain, stressful times.
It has been a while since we have been together but I wanted to send you an update on Kenan Institute activities. My colleagues and I, including you, have been very busy on a number of fronts at the institute. As you would expect, all of our events have been virtual and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Our affiliated centers have all remained active and engaged during this time, as well.
There have been a number of highlights over the past six months, including our regular COVID-related press briefings and reports, and the initiatives of our newly-formed North Carolina CEO Leadership Forum. This summer, the Forum launched an Economic Indicators Dashboard that tracks key business and health metrics for both NC and the U.S. We also recently published a series of reports on Seven Forces Reshaping the Economy, including a national report, a NC-specific report, and a policy brief for top policymakers in Raleigh. As you may have seen, we have also been serializing each of the Seven Forces in the run up to the election through weekly Kenan Insights.
