Background

I’m a Philadelphia native that adventured south to UNC for my undergraduate degree. After graduation, I decided to see what opportunities I could find out west in Montana. Initially, the opportunities I was thinking of were in the form of mountains to climb, hills to ski, and rivers to float, so I was pleasantly surprised by an offer to join two entrepreneurs starting an outdoor footwear company – Oboz Footwear. I spent the next five years working for Oboz in a diverse array of capacities, including everything from customer service to financial modeling to brand development and catalog design.

Career Path

Through my experience at Oboz, I was able to develop my analytical and creative skills by being an active member in nearly all aspects of the business. This experience also taught me that there was much I did not know, and I saw a need to formalize my learning by going to business school. I decided to come back “home” to Kenan-Flagler because of the school’s collaborative community and reputation for excellence and am concentrating in marketing and sustainable enterprise.

Interests and Hobbies

I enjoy spending my free time outside – trekking, climbing, biking & skiing, usually accompanied by my border collie, Skeeter. Additionally, I love playing soccer and coaching lacrosse and cheering the Heels to victory. I also really enjoy travelling and recently returned from a five month adventure through Southeast Asia.
