Through the Kenan Institute I’ve had the opportunity to work on something I’ve been fascinated by for years – the Olympic Games! My interests and experiences were a great fit for the ‘Emergency Management for the Beijing Olympics’ position that I worked on with the Center for Logistics and Digital Strategy during the second half of First Year and the first half of Second Year. My project culminated in an October trip to Beijing where I cooperated with Beijing and Athens Olympic officials and international experts in supply chain management and logistics. My great experience working on the Olympics project led to me pursue the Kenan Liaison position because I wanted to help MBA students learn of the opportunities that exist through the Kenan Institute. Prior to starting the MBA program at Kenan-Flagler I worked at Special Olympics International in Beijing and the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.
