Alyse is passionate about promoting equitable economic development and creating job opportunities for all members of the community. As the leader of AICER at NCGrowth, she works with universities, governments, procurement officials and other stakeholders to facilitate intentional purchasing practices from local businesses, particularly those owned by historically marginalized populations. Before joining NCGrowth, Alyse worked as a research instructor in Carolina’s Public Policy Department, and at the state’s Division of Public Health on projects aimed at increasing access to healthy living opportunities.

Alyse is also an active member of her community in Hillsborough, volunteering on the Planning and Parks & Recreation boards. In her free time, she enjoys spending as much time as she can out in nature with her family.
