I am extremely excited to be a Kenan Institute Liaison. The Kenan Institute provides Kenan-Flagler MBA students with the unique opportunity to develop their skills through internships, practica, real-life projects, and presentations from faculty and guest speakers. As Kenan Institute Liaison I would first and foremost like to continue the great work that the current liaisons have done over the last year. Additionally I hope that we can identify new ways to involve students in the activities of the Kenan Institute and the local and global business community the Institute serves.

This summer I will be doing my internship in Hángzho­u, China with MacLean Quality Composites (MQC). MQC is involved in manufacturing highly customized carbon fiber products ¨C primarily for the sporting industry. My role will be to develop a long-term inventory and raw material sourcing strategy for the company’s Chinese operations. After graduating from Kenan-Flagler I plan to provide specialized consulting services to entrepreneurs and small businesses. My particular areas of interest are: Strategy, Management, Raising Capital, Globalization, International Investing, and Capital Market Development.
