Background

Prior to coming to UNC, I lived and worked in Nicaragua for seven years as a Brand Manager for Compañía Cervecera de Nicaragua (the Nicaraguan Brewery). I was responsible for managing a portfolio of national and international beer, water and fruit juice brands. I also served on the Product Development committee where I led cross functional teams in designing, re-positioning, importing, and / or launching a variety of products and brands into the Nicaraguan market.

Career Path

I chose to get an MBA with a concentration in finance in order to complement my marketing experience and make the transition from marketing to general management. After graduation, I wish to work for a multinational company in a general management rotational program, in order to continue my development. I am also interested in entrepreneurship.

Interests and Hobbies

My interests include golf, scuba-diving, spear-fishing, photography and traveling (especially adventure traveling). However, nowadays my favorite activity is spending time with my wife, my daughter and my son.
