Market-Based Solutions to Vital Economic Issues

I decided to obtain my MBA after spending 10 years working in accounting and finance related roles in Boston and Bermuda. I was initially attracted to KFBS by the allure of “green” or sustainable real estate development but have since caught the consulting bug and upon graduation seek to work as a consultant focused on environmental and social responsibility.
The Kenan Institute remains an enigma to many MBA students. I only began to understand and appreciate the opportunities presented by the Institute after working as in intern trying to develop an educational curriculum for “Gazelle” companies. Many first and second year MBA students don’t realize the academic guidance and professional connections available to them by the Kenan Institute and I would like spend the next year bridging that information gap. As a Kenan Institute Liaison my goal is to work with the rest of the liaison team to build a bridge between the opportunities the Institute offers and the careers students are seeking. I would like to find innovative ways to make the Institute more inviting and the work done there more transparent. I believe that once people are aware of the projects going on at the institute they will be more inclined to follow up in their areas of interest.
