Background

I was born in College Station, TX and lived in Texas until I was six years old. My dad was transferred to Detroit, Michigan, and I spent the rest of my time before college in the suburbs of Detroit. I attended Davidson College where I played soccer for all four years, and received my B.A. in Political Science. After graduation, I stayed in Charlotte and started working for the Charlotte Bobcats (now Charlotte Hornets) in corporate ticket sales for two years. While in Charlotte, I met my future husband and he brought me to the Chapel Hill area where I started working for an expert network firm, Coleman Research.

Career Path

While at Coleman Research, I was responsible for managing a team of account managers and a book of business that consisted of a couple hedge funds, but mostly management consulting firms. As much as I enjoyed working with my clients, I wanted to become more involved in their problem solving and decision-making. I wanted to be solving the clients’ problems and working in an industry I was passionate about, which led me to UNC Kenan-Flagler. I started looking at going back to school to learn more about consulting and how I could blend my two interests of strategic problem solving and sports. I chose to attend Kenan-Flagler in order to build on my business skills, and also to grow as a leader and learn from my peers in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. I am also hoping to contribute to the Kenan-Flagler community through a variety of leadership positions such as Consulting Club Corporate Liaison and Sports & Entertainment Club Corporate Relations Liaison.

Interests and Hobbies

Although we are all extremely busy at school, I find time every day to workout. I CrossFit daily, and I also coach CrossFit at my local gym at least three times a week as well, working with athletes to help them become more well-rounded individuals. I also am obsessed with Detroit sports teams, and I love talking college and professional sports with my classmates. I enjoy traveling with my husband and pairing our love of traveling with our passion for CrossFit to find new CrossFit gyms around the country and the world.
