Michael Gropper is a student in the finance PhD program at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. His research focuses on household finance with an interest in how households save and invest over long horizons.
Prior to beginning his PhD studies, Michael worked in economic consulting at Berkeley Research Group. He worked primarily on class action litigation, as well as patent infringement and other commercial legal matters. His worked spanned a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, health insurance, and commodities trading.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary, earning a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with a Minor in Mathematics.
