Background

I was born and raised in Garland, TX, a suburb of Dallas. I always knew that I wanted to see the world, so I decided to attend college out of state at The University of Missouri. My mom and her sisters are all Mizzou alums, so it was a great choice. Since I was a child, I had a passion for math and science. I continued to pursue my interests with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering with a Minor in Business and a fantastic study abroad program to the Czech Republic. After college I combined my passions for technology and working with people as a sales engineer for industrial control systems. Since I was based in Houston for the past 6 years, I was intimately involved with the global Energy and Oil & Gas industries. I enjoyed the working in a dynamic setting with customers in a global environment.

Career Path

As my career progressed, my interest in the global business perspective increased rapidly. I came to the UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA program to broaden my knowledge and gain valuable skills to supplement and augment my past experience. After graduation I would like to leverage my experience in the Energy Industry along with my MBA education as a management and strategy consultant.

Interests and Hobbies

Outside of MBA school, my soon to be husband and I love to travel, spend time with family, play golf, and volunteer. I also enjoy playing sand volleyball and softball.
