Nishitha Karumuri ’23 is an intended health policy management major with a minor in business from Huntersville, North Carolina. Her professional interests surround the intersection of healthcare and business. After graduation, Nishitha is interested in working in healthcare consulting or administration. For Nishitha, the Kenan Scholars’ motto of “putting the private sector to work for the public good” greatly resonated with her. Additionally, the unique research opportunities the Kenan Scholars program offers to expand her business knowledge through a faculty-led research project excites her.

In addition to being a Kenan Scholar, Nishitha is also a Colonel Robinson Scholar and a Buckley Public Service Scholar. On campus, Nishitha is involved with AMWHO, the Honors Carolina Student Association, and the Alpha Epsilon Delta national health pre-professional honor society. Outside of academics, Nishitha loves to bake, read, paint and work out.
