Zoey Kernodle is the Director for the Center for the Business of Health and oversees all of the Center’s operational and programmatic components. She leads the efforts for the Center’s two advisory boards, manages key internal and external relationships, and provides counsel for the overall strategy and development of the Center.
Prior to joining the team at UNC, Zoey worked in healthcare philanthropy research at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C. She led and produced best practice research for hospital foundations and internal development offices at academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, and community hospitals.
With a background in fundraising and program management at large academic institutions and a national non-profit, she has extensive industry experience with corporate engagement, board management, philanthropic strategy, and constituent engagement.
Zoey has a master’s degree from Emory University where she studied theology and political philosophy, and a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from North Carolina State University. She also serves on the board at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
