Kuhnen Tells ‘Marketplace’ a Tale of Two Consumers

Kenan Institute Research Director Camelia Kuhnen spoke with “Marketplace” reporter Kristin Schwab on July 25 about consumer spending remaining strong even as readings on consumer sentiment are less optimistic.  

“There could be a story here of two different types of American consumers: those who have assets, who have net worth, and those who have lived always from month to month,” Kuhnen suggested.
