CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (May 2, 2023) – Join us for the Kenan Institute’s monthly virtual press briefing at 9 a.m. EDT this Friday, May 5, as we provide instant analysis following the release of the employment report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School Professor Christian Lundblad will offer his insights on the labor market and the broader economy as well as answer questions from the audience.
In addition to discussing the jobs numbers, Lundblad will talk about the Federal Reserve, interest rates and whether challenges in the banking sector are helping the Fed do its work.
Experts from the institute will appear on the briefing each month and offer commentary in their areas of specialization. The briefings occur on the morning that the employment report is released, usually the first Friday of each month.
